At NW Hardscapes, we help turn your dreams of an outdoor living space into reality. Hardscapes are the backbone of a landscape design; arbors and trellises that support your plants, porches and decks that provide a place to rest while enjoying your natural spaces, and gates, railings and fences that provide privacy. As your plantings evolve through the seasons, your hardscape will be the bones that give your garden form and purpose. Our area of service includes Snohomish County, including Everett, Mukilteo, Edmonds, and Lake Stevens.
Our Philosophy
We love being outdoors—being connected with and experiencing nature. Our goal is to create outdoor living areas that are as integral to our clients’ homes as their indoor living areas. This creative process is exciting—transforming a client’s needs into solutions that are both practical and beautiful. We love designing and building all sorts of wood structures, from an entry gate arbor, to a front porch. We build the wooden hardscapes that connect your home to the outdoors.
Matt Freed
Matt grew up in the Puget Sound area and has always loved being outdoors. From an early age, he has applied his creativity and imagination to designing and building things with his hands. Matt has an education in Visual Communications and Horticulture, 15 years of experience in the field of landscape construction and a proven track record, as you will see on the gallery pages of this website. To each job, Matt brings his continuing quest to learn and his joy in seeing a job beautifully done; confidently and capably meeting all of your hardscape needs.
Maria Freed
Maria was also raised in the Pacific Northwest and loves being in the outdoors. Gardening for Maria is a year-round passion, and she finds joy in watching her garden evolve, and creating a beautiful environment that connects her to nature. With an education in Horticulture and Bookkeeping, along with 15 years of managing a contracting business, Maria is able to make sure that her clients get the best product possible.
